Your event gets a bonus, as a Michigan Core Community, all expenditures in Mount Clemens are eligible to receive an additional two percent Michigan Film Credit.
We understand that time can be extremely expensive and important for the film industry so we have made significant efforts to streamline the review and approval process. To guarantee a timely response, we have received approval from the Mount Clemens City Commission to approve most film requests administratively. Mount Clemens has a mixture of historic and mid-century beautiful residential neighborhoods dating from the late 1800s up to late 1950s and everything in between.
Since we date our founding in 1818, Mount Clemens neighborhoods have four-squares, Victorians, and Arts & Crafts along with more modern ranches and even mansions. We have a mixture of multi-unit housing too, such as duplexes, flats and apartments.
Within our older neighborhoods, we also have functional alleys. Some have been vacated and others are in various stages of maintenance.
Looking for urban living sets? Don't go anywhere else. We have lofts and condos in our Downtown, with some overlooking the Clinton River and Downtown.
Our traditional downtown has blocks of historic buildings ranging from two stories up to 13 stories. The quaint walkable district is just a couple blocks from the City's marina on the banks of the navigable Clinton River.
During the summer, the many outdoor patios are full of alfresco diners. With 30 bars and restaurants and over two dozen retail shops, Mount Clemens is the Entertaining and Dining Capital of Macomb County.
Just 20 miles from Downtown Detroit, Mount Clemens has the big city amenities with a small town character.
Need a park? We've got quite a variety. We have two large parks, a wilderness area and several smaller neighborhood parks that are perfect settings for movies.
Need places with some grit? We've got those too. We have several industrial districts, some over a century old while others are more modern industrial parks.
Need a big factory? We have several large industrial complexes as well.
